We plan for an exciting winter snow trek in the Rumbak valley in Ladakh, during Jan/Feb 2024.
Rumbak village & valley
Rumbak is a village in the Leh district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is located in the Leh tehsil and lies within Hemis National Park. It is located 3,960m above sea level.
The Rumbak valley is situated within the national park at an altitude of 4000m. It is home to a rich diversity of wildlife such as snow leopards, Tibetan wolves, blue sheep, Asiatic ibex, Ladakh urial and more. Several species of birds like golden eagles, vultures and migratory birds can also be seen.
Hemis National Park (or Hemis High Altitude National Park)
HNP is a high altitude national park in the eastern Ladakh region of the state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. The park is home to a number of species of endangered mammals, including the snow leopard.

Day 1 -Arrival in Leh
- Airport pick up and transfer to hotel.
- relax for the day.
Day 2 -Acclimatising & Sightseeing
- Short walks , and sightseeing around Leh.
Day 3- Zingchen to Rumbak trek
- A short drive by road to Zingchen and start of the trek.
- Overnight at Rumbak.
Day 4- Rumbak to Yurutse trek.
- A short trek to Yurutse village in the Rumbak valley.
Overnight at Rumbak/Yurutse.
Day 5 - Rumbak to Zinchen Trek
Trek back from Rumbak village to Zingchen and then car drive to Leh . Overnight in Leh.
Day 6 -Departure
Departure to catch your flight back to your destination.
