This Backpacking trip includes the following features :

– Transport from Delhi to Delhi by road ( optional @Rs 2500 pp)
– Stay at Govind ghat / Joshimath in hotel/Homestay ( 2 nights ) , and at Ghangaria ( 3 nights ) with meals
– LAFL coordinator assistance from Haridwar.

* Transport from Haridwar to Govind ghat to Haridwar is arranged for a minimal cost.

Day1 - Haridwar to Govindghat (Approx 8 hours)

• Reach Haridwar in the morning and leave early by private bus for Govindghat . The bus ride marks the beginning of an adventure waiting to unfold • Spend the night at a hotel in Govind ghat

Day 2 - Govindghat to Ghangaria (13kms Trek)

• After an early breakfast , leave for the trek to Ghangaria • Reach Ghangaria by late afternoon • Spend the night in a homestay / hotel

Day 3 - The D-Day – Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers (6kms Trek)

• After an early breakfast and packed lunch, leave for the Valley of Flowers trek (3km on each side) • Trekking at a height of 3342-3658 mtrs., enjoy the rare beauty of the Himalayan fauna at its best • Return to Ghangaria by evening and overnight stay in a homestay / hotel

Day 4 - Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib Trek (6 kms Trek)

•Morning we trek to Hemkund Sahib (4,329 m) from Ghangaria. This is quite a steep climb. In the Sikh holy book, The Guru Granth Sahib, the Sikh Guru Gobind Singh recounts that in a previous life, he meditated on the shores of a lake surrounded by seven snowcapped mountains now recognized as Hemkund. • Spend the night at a hotel in Ghangaria

Day 5- Ghangaria to Govind ghat Trek (13kms Trek)

• After an early breakfast and packed lunch, start the descend to Govind ghat • Spend the night at a hotel in Govind ghat or Joshimath

Day 6 - Govind ghat / Joshimath to Haridwar

• A return bus ride from Govindghat to Hardwar marks the end of the backpacking trek to the Valley of Flowers
